NEW: Voices of The OK
“OK” is a warm, relaxed and welcoming Modern Orthodox, Zionist, Jewish congregation (we are members of The Orthodox Union, and a part of Beth El synagogue).
We are building a community in the growing, dynamic Triangle area of North Carolina. Our city – Durham – is home to Duke University, which has an incredible health system and brings an international crowd to our synagogue — French, Israeli, Argentinian… and we even have Americans!
Our community is family-oriented and open, welcoming of people with all levels of knowledge. One of our members takes care to announce the page numbers at services, so everyone is comfortable.
Our Shabbat morning minyan meets at 9:00 am, followed by a light kiddush, including cholent/hamin (thank you Philippe!). We are located at 1004 Watts St, Durham, NC 27701 downstairs at Beth El Synagogue. Our congregation is walkable from much of Durham and, as of last year, we even have an eruv.
